asthma (Mateusz Wardyński) – rapper, actor, performer, and lyricist. He debuted in 2021 with the album manifest, which earned him the “Discovery of the Year” award at the Lech Polish Hip-Hop Music Awards. After two years of work, in May 2023, he released his second album nowe życie, and a few months later appeared in the third season of the TV series Belfer. In 2024, he was nominated for the O!lśnienia award in the Popular Music category for nowe życie. That same year, he made his debut as a performer in projects by Katarzyna Krakowiak-Bałka – Czyszczenie Zachęty (Zachęta – National Gallery of Art) and Keeping Flowers Alive. In April 2025, asthma released his third solo album – ASTHMA, produced by Wuja HZG, SHDØW, Kuba Karaś, and Kuba Więcek – leading Polish producers of the young generation, associated with alternative music, rap, electronic, and jazz scenes. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with artists such as KRS-One, 1988, HAŁASTRA, Miętha, Łajzol, Kacha, and Rosalie., with whom he co-wrote lyrics for her latest album.
