IGOR SHUGALEEVBorn in 1986 in Homel, Belarus.
He graduated from the Acting Department of the Belarusian State Academy of Arts in Minsk.
He is a theatre and film actor, performer, dancer, and choreographer. Since 2025, he has been a member of the ensemble of Nowy Teatr in Warsaw.
Since 2021, he has been living and working in Poland. As an actor and dancer, he collaborated with numerous Belarusian theatres, including Karakuli Dance Theatre (Minsk), Hunch Theatre Belarus (Minsk–London), TOK Theatre (Minsk), and Belarus Free Theatre (Minsk–London).
Since 2019, in collaboration with artists from different fields, he has been creating interdisciplinary solo projects at the intersection of theatre, dance, and performance. The central theme of his artistic practice is physical bodily exhaustion, serving as a symbolic reference to systemic oppression against the human being. He has gained international recognition thanks to the political dimension of his works, addressing such topics as protest, the impact of political regimes, and personal interpretations of freedom.
