Beata Pozniak

About me

Known for her role as Marina Oswald in Oliver Stone’s eight-time Oscar-nominated JFK (playing Gary Oldman’s wife), Beata Poźniak has also starred as a female President of the World in the sci-fi series Babylon 5 and as a revolutionary in George Lucas’ The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles. She is remembered for roles such as Dr. Fielding on Melrose Place, Masha on Mad About You, and a double agent on JAG.

Beata is a recipient of multiple awards, including Earphones Awards, Voice Arts Awards, Audie and the Washington Post Best Audiobook of the Year.  She has worked with acclaimed European directors, including Agnieszka Holland (Mr. Jones), Jerzy Skolimowski (Thirty Door Key), and Andrzej Wajda (Chronicle of a Love Affair) among others.

In the world of video games, she has appeared in the last four Mortal Kombat installments as Skarlet, the Blood Queen, alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone. Her portrayal earned her the Voice Arts Award for “Outstanding Video Game Character - Best Performance,” marking the first and only time in Mortal Kombat’s 30-year history that an actor has received an award for a voice role in the franchise.

Classically trained, Beata holds an MFA in Film and Drama. She is a member of EFA - European Film Academy, SAG-AFTRA, TV Academy, Polish Filmmaker's Association.
Awarded by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage of the Republic of Poland with the Medal for Merit to Culture – Gloria Artis.
