About me

Anna Próchniak is a Polish actress who initially trained as a dancer until deciding to switch to theatre, training at the Lodz Film School.

She has received several Polish and International awards including: Best Debut (First Contact Festival) and Best Acting Duo (International Festival of Modern Drama) for her theatre debut in ‘NATASHA’S DREAM’. 

Anna’s credits include: ‘BAPTISTE’ (BBC One), ‘WARSAW ‘44’ (ELLE Rising Star Award), ‘LES INNOCENTS’ (Sundance), ‘OLEG’ (Cannes Film Festival), ‘BAD DAY FOR THE CUT’ (Sundance) and ‘SHAMELESS’ (Karlovy Vary International Film Festival).

Anna is a member of the European Film Academy (EFA).

Anna is also now leading the series THE TATTOIST OF AUSCHWITZ which will be coming to SKY soon. She plays the role of Gita opposite Jonah Hauer-King in the Television adaption of the award winning book.
